Being Ready to Learn in Room 10

We had an oral language discussion about what we do to 'be ready for learning'.
These are some of the things we did before we came to school today.........

Brushed our teeth
Put our shoes on
Packed a healthy litterless lunch
Did some guitar practice
Brought our reading books back
Packed our togs
We all had breakfast
Got dressed
Brushed our hair
Did some exercise
Tidied/organised my bedroom
Packed my notebook
I got my clothes ready last night
Had a shower
Went to bed early
Washed my face

These are all things that help us to have a great start to our day. Well done room 10!

Day One 2012!

Today was a very special day as it was the beginning of our new school year!

We have so many new students in our school and we even have a new teacher. Her name is Ms Langdon. She was a student here in 2010.

We had 10 very brave Kauri students who performed in the Powhiri and sang so beautifully, we were proud of you.

Cooperative Games

On Tuesday we played some cooperative games with Sonja from Project Energize. We had so much fun learning to work together even though at times it was difficult!!!

Here are some photos to show the activities we did. I wonder if you know what they are called?

Glee!!!

There is much excitement at Hamilton East School as our very own Glee club are performing tonight to what appears to be a sellout crowd!! Last Friday they had their dress rehearsal and the whole school were invited. Here are some sneak peeks of our very own fantastic singers and dancers.

Please leave a comment, with your name, to support our very talented students.
