Tonga by Lota, Ariana, Kallista & Jaedyn

We are becoming experts about some countries who are playing in the R.W.C. This group have made a flipbook to share giving you information about their chosen country. They found out so many things about Tonga. This has helped us know a little bit more about some children in our school too!

Ducklings at school!

This morning mother duck gave us all a big surprise! When Ms O'Neil went to check on her she was no longer sitting on eggs, she was keeping her newly hatched ducklings warm instead!! It was a very exciting moment.

Room 10 went to visit them and we even got to see the ducklings poking their little heads out! Thanks for your expert videoing Madisen!!

Bridging the Gap - Making Connections

Solo Taxonomy is an inquiry model that we are using in Room 10 to help us learn more about Tonga and Ireland. These are the countries we want to 'connect' with over the next 5 weeks. We have moved from Prestructural - knowing nothing about the countries, to Unistructural - knowing something about them, to now being at the Multi-structural level - this means we are finding out lots about the countries so we become experts! We are working hard to learn as much as we can.

Lunchtime at H.E.S.

Today when Ms O'Neil was on duty on Putikitiki she saw some beautiful things. We are so lucky to have such a gorgeous school environment. It was made even more gorgeous by the warm sun shining.
