Apple Cake for Harvest Festival

All the ingredients are sitting on the bench down in the hall kitchen.

 We liked using the apple winder to take the skin off the apples and core them.

Cracking an egg.

We have an electric mixer to combine all the ingredients.

Have to measure cafeully.

Look at all the apple slices.

Such great teamwork. Some are baking and some are documenting our learning on the iPad.

Mixing the dry ingredients with the wet.

All cooked

 Finally the apple cake is cooked and sprinkled with icing sugar. We can't wait to try it.

Term 1 Week 4 Writing Task

Since last week Whaea Kat has been showing us students in Room 11 a photo for our writing and we had to find a way to present it. So we came up with the idea of presenting our work on a white board which took us 3 days to finish.

We used bullet points like what good words we could use in the story as well as asking questions to help us make our story.

Our story is based on the movie Narnia so we took out some of the characters and the scene that happened in the story and recreated them to put in our story to make it more original.
