Cricket Skills

Had so much fun today! 

We went over to Dawson with Room 9 to learn some cricket skills. We learnt how to catch and how to stand when you bat. 

We really liked having to do a trick when we were catching the ball. Some people could catch the ball behind their back while others could do a funny jump in the air before they caught the ball.

Buddy Reading with Room 6

On Friday we had our first Buddy reading with the kids from Kowhai team. 

Our buddy class is Room 6. Their teacher is Hine. 

We found places to sit and read together, at tables, on beanbags and under tables. 

After we had read together we did some dances. 

We can't wait to catch up next week.
