Japanese students farewell
Here are some videos of the students singing and even doing the Haka. They had some HES helpers and they were quick learners!!
Making Connections Evaluation
We learnt SO many new things during our Making Connections unit - from learning a cultural dance to skyping a teacher in Ireland, making presentations, learning words from other languages, meeting children from other schools in Hamilton and then all the way from Japan!!! We had so many exciting learning opportunities. We have put all our learning together based on de Bono's 6 Thinking Hats.
Take a look and see all the learning we did!

Japanese students farewell
Last night the Japanese students put on a performance to farewell the families they had stayed with, the children at Hamilton East and the teachers.
They sang songs, did a traditional dance and even performed a 'zumba' item! They also gave speeches and received gifts from Pippa and Ms Bobsien on behalf of the whole school.
It was great to see them perform the Haka with some of our children. Can you see who was at the farewell from H.E.S?
